Brett Epstein is a Los Angeles pianist who has over 15 years of teaching, composing, and live-performing experience.
In 2003, after graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he majored in Contemporary Writing and Production, Brett moved to Los Angeles and has been living a musical life there ever since.
Whether playing in local jazz bands, performing on cruise ships, or composing music for such networks and record labels such as CBS, ESPN, and Capitol Records, his passion and commitment to music is unwavering.
Brett loves teaching the piano and prides himself on meeting each student where they are in their musical journey, at any skill level. From early beginners to seasoned professionals, Brett tailors each lesson to the needs and desires of each student. His teaching criteria and philosophy range from reading music, understanding theory and harmony, as well as placing a strong emphasis on technique and ear training.
Brett strives to make each lesson fun and enjoyable so the student can look forward to their lesson with enthusiasm and pleasure. Brett truly believes that with the right teacher and guidance, anyone can find their creative calling as a pianist and be able express themselves through the wonderful gift of music.
Brett teaches a multitude of genres including classical, jazz, rock and pop. No matter where you are in your own learning process, there is always more to learn! It’s a never-ending musical bond that both the teacher and student share.

Brett lives with his wife Natalie, and his children, Hazel and Oliver, in Valencia, CA.
